A new training initiative addressed to the representatives of public administration
In May and June this year, Personal Data Protection Office in cooperation with National Institute for Local Self-government will organize four local trainings entitled: "Changes in the protection of personal data in the light of the GDPR and the Act of 10 May 2018 on the Protection of Personal Data". The initiative is addressed to data protection officers as well as to the leading figures who perform this function in public administration.
The planned trainings, offered by the Personal Data Protection Office, pose another opportunity for the public sector representatives to acquire in-depth knowledge about regulations and good practices in the field of personal data protection.

Also, T4DATA project foresees the organization of webinars (48 hours of classes). This is an additional opportunity for the DPO to complete their knowledge on the correct application of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in public sector entities.
The above-mentioned initiatives will be organized by UODO in cooperation with the National Institute of Local Self-government. This will be the second joint venture of both institutions, which also cooperate as regard implementation of trainings for local government units.

The announced initiative will be implemented as a part of the international project "T4DATA - Training Data Protection Authorities and Data Protection Officers". This is a joint undertaking of data protection authorities from Poland, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria and Croatia.
The project was created to facilitate the supervisory authorities for data protection of these countries and data protection officers from public entities, access to knowledge about the practical consequences of the application and possible interpretations of the GDPR.
The T4DATA project is co-funed by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme of the European Union (2014-2020)
